Es war also aus Sicht der britischen Behörden als auch aus Sicht des EGMR mit der Möglichkeit einer Verurteilung zu rechnen. How was he able to recreate crime scenes in detail and make sketches of the crime scene? And this with regard to a crime scene (Haysom's house in Lynchburg) where he himself had obviously never been before the crime.
This is what I don't believe about the whole thing, that once the murders were committed neither of them spoke to each other about it. Who believes that? Course they did.
That is obvious and would actually fit much better into his narrative. Only if she had told him over and over again what she had done and experienced during the murder would he have been able to make the "false" confession so convincing. So I really don't understand why he chooses this "our nasty secret" narrative instead.

A: Well as I stated earlier, the — it was our belief that the police had fingerprints, a partial fingerprint in blood, and we thought that it was Jens's, and we thought that when he had gone to Bedford and had his interview with Ricky Gardner, that the coffee cup that he had used, they had lifted the fingerprints off of the coffee cup and matched it to this fingerprint.
Hi Andrew, sorry but this sounds like narrowed misinformation to me.. "The case is about to be solved" is related to the phonecall with Howard Haysom who had told Haysom that he will come down to visit her and Soering (!) to meet them. Haysom is argumenting in court that she had followed Soering to Europe cause she was frightened about meeting her brother. You have to keep in mind that Haysom had made herself suspicious throughout moments of reacting in a strange way.
1. She wants to go back to the crime scene cleaning the front door and around her father
2. comparing her footprint
3. Showed panic reactions, while getting confronted with the envelope postmarked in DC
So Howard would have asked Gardner about the investigations. And the only thing that Gardner could have provided to him as an update was the fact that he had blood and footprints ten days before. As we know Gardner received the result of her food prints investigation in November. So there are many lies in those entries and explanations
- packing
- case to be solved
- brain tumor
- IRA
- partial fingerprints in blood (there is none!)
The only thing which sounds credible is that Haysom had the obligation to deceive the readers Soering included!
So IMO the best way to explain all this strange crap of delusion and incriminating your killer mate is the 2perp version. Haysom had to rely on the fact that Soering would deny her being at the scene, and he wanted to push him to flee. She had admitted in court that she didn't want to meet her brother! That sounds plausible!
