Hello, and welcome to all the new subscribers! Thanks for joining the fray. I’m writing from Hamburg, where I am giving interviews about the Söring case. I’m staying in a nice guesthouse on the Hansaplatz. And as you Germans might already have guessed, I already witnessed an dramatic one-sided knife-fight between two foreign vagrants. I had to call 110. Nobody was injured, fortunately. The guy with the knife was way too drunk. Moin moin!

There will soon be more coverage of the Soering case amid the fallout of the Netflix and ARD (German public TV) series. The ARD series “Murder, Power, and Media” has now been viewed over 1 million times!

Now here’s the short news roundup:

• I’ve updated my website. It’s now called Hammelwords. It’s still pretty basic, but it gets the job done. You can contact me through the website. I have posted the entire trial transcripts of Jens Soering and Elizabeth Haysom on this page. You can download the whole files and search them with keywords. Happy researching!

• Jens Söring has just given a new interview to a nationwide German broadcasting network. But now, the network will present a fact check from a critical perspective. I’ll let everyone know when it comes out.

• I just did a question and answer session for a German public television network. The (interesting) questions were submitted by listeners, and I answered them . The good news is that I gave the Q&A in English, and the video will come out with German subtitles, so everyone can understand it. Again, I’ll let you know when it comes out.

• Jens Soering has changed his website. Gone are all the video clips from after his release, he instead points visitors to dusty old features from 2011. He also links to Judge Ralph Guise-Rübe’s silly podcast and the “Chuck Reid Report”, which is almost illegible because of crude formatting and typeface (and this in 2023!). But he’s got a new money-making angle: You can book a “private session” with him (not on OnlyFans, at least not yet) in which he promises to share private case documents with you and answer “any question” you have.
