Soering Plumbs New Depths of Cynicism
He's trying to convince his ignorant new followers to believe nonsense. How many will be gullible enough to take the bait?
After teasing major revelations in his case for months, Soering finally revealed what he was (presumably) talking about: Sheena R. Haysom’s discredited allegations:
In the video, Söring himself admits that the Canadian police have already closed the case on the allegations of sexual abuse for lack of evidence. As for the murder allegations, Bedford County is of course not going to reopen the Haysom murder case, since Haysom’s allegations are physically impossible.
Richard and Julian Haysom thus remain what they always were, completely innocent of any involvement in their parents’ murders or any kind of sexual abuse.
With his characteristic mixture of duplicity, smugness, and self-pity, Söring implies the authorities are declining to further pursue Sheena Haysom’s allegations out of complacency or a desire to cover-up past malfeasance. At the end of the video, he claims he wrote Bedford County District Attorney Wes Nance, asking about the nude photos of Elizabeth Haysom taken by her mother. Nance, who for some reason continues to indulge Soering, seems to have replied that the photos are not in the possession of Bedford County.
Soering suggests this is too convenient by half, since the photos, he claims, are key to proving or disproving Sheena Haysom’s allegations. This is nonsense. The photographs existed — Terry Wright saw them. They were taken by Nancy Haysom, an enthusiastic and talented amateur painter, as part of a project (artists have used their own family members as subjects since the dawn of time), they were shot from the side, the poses were discreet and tasteful, and they show no evidence of abuse or exploitation. Since they were sensitive and had no evidentiary value, they were never entered into evidence at either Soering or Haysom’s trial, and there is no reason Bedford County should have kept them, assuming it ever had them.
Söring’s own admission shows that Soering was working behind the scenes to amplify Sheena Haysom’s allegations. Despite his anodyne public persona, Soering is always scheming behind the scenes: furnishing supporters with documents, making connections between them, urging them to support his claims in public, negotiating how far they will be willing to go in public statements, and drafting statements for them to later adopt as their own. As I have mentioned, he induced one of the world’s most famous lawyers to amplify Sheena Haysom’s allegations. After soliciting comments for weeks and getting nothing but silence, I have given this person an ultimatum ending at close of business their time today. I will blow open this scandal in an article, not here — but of course I will provide a link.
Like anyone familiar with the case, it is clear to me that Soering knows full well that Sheena Haysom’s allegations were never credible. In his TikTok video, he admits the authorities investigated the sexual abuse charges and dismissed them. Soering can hardly believe Richard and Julian Haysom actually murdered their own parents — in 40 years of speaking and writing about his case, he has suggested maybe a dozen possible alternate suspects, but never Julian and Richard Haysom. For him to claim Sheena Haysom’s allegations deserve further investigation is grossly deceptive. He knows full well these allegations are groundless, but pretends to his supporters that they are worth exploring, but that the authorities in Canada and Virginia have turned a blind eye.
Söring has always exploited the ignorance of his followers, but lately it’s been much harder to recruit them. The recent books and series about Soering’s case revealed the truth to thousands of viewers. Since people had supported him principally because they believed he was a victim of injustice, they dropped their support once they found out the truth. Söring’s only remaining supporters are either new to the case or they are so blindly committed to his narrative they would, in the words of Annabel H., believe in his innocence even if he stood before them with a bloody knife.
None of this matters to Soering. Nor does the anguish he caused to the surviving members of the Haysom family. Only one thing matters to Soering: keeping in the public spotlight. The fact that his star is rapidly fading — despite his increasingly desperate and bottom-feeding efforts to re-ignite it — must be causing him sleepless nights.
It couldn’t happen to a more deserving person.

Passt.
